Playing Through My Evercade Collection Part 17: Indie Heroes Collection 1
I want to be nice to this game as I get it, its a rather charming little platformer with the big draw being the backstory behind it all with the developer having his young daughter help create all the graphics for the game and thats very lovely and the passion for making this game alongside his daughter can absolutely be felt in every part.
But as a game itself? Eh. Its a rather basic feeling NES platformer thats very much in the same vein as classic Mario, just without the inertia or the nostalgia. I dont hate it but the controls sometimes feel a little too loose, enemies hitboxes dont always feel precise enough.
Its not horrible by any means and for those people who hoover up platformers like nobodys business, there's enough to enjoy but aside from the backstory, there isnt enough here to make a whole.
