this is a game that emphasizes mood over almost everything else. if you like open-ended exploration games this is an absolute must-have but unfortunately if you like a bit more substance you won't find much here. definitely worth a shot either way because even though this isn't very "engaging" by normal standards its still damn cozy

A mysterious, impossible ruin of a town at the center of a pit. Each door takes you to a difference world, populated by strange messages from the past, memories of ghosts. Each world is fantastical and unique, with several involving some light platforming. Hidden in each world is an artifact which reveals a passcode. If you go into the game's files, you can access a number of creepy images, documents, and mp3 files locked behind these passcodes. Very creepy and exciting, leaving the player with many unanswered questions.

A game about exploration. Nothing is told to you outright through the physical game world-- even the controls and exposition are contained in text files extant to the game itself. You must rely on the translations of the Arcanodex to infer meaning. You arrive in a crater, where a city has mysteriously appeared. What is this place? Who used to live here? What is behind the doors? The entire experience is lyrical and surreal, and offers few, if any, answers to your questions. And yet... is that not exactly enough? Some scattered bits of information, and an impression of the world that came before?
