This is certainly a Game Boy game. It's so simple that it really doesn't do anything impressive sadly. It's also a lot easier and I felt the devs knew this and limited your continues to 5. I guess if you liked the NES game that's similar to this, you might find some enjoyment? It just doesn't really have much reason to be played nowadays. It really wouldn't be so okayish if the game just didn't feel so mediocre. Say what you want about the NES game but at least levels felt different for the most part and had some varied enemies. Also both games do the thing where if you pause and then unpause the music resets. How odd.
