Gross is just boring. It's a tower defense game where you can make pathways to force the zombies into routes where your towers can kill them. You can choose 4 weapons to bring into the field with you and kill the zombies alongside your turrets, as they aren't exactly special forces. There's a story, but literally no one on the planet cares about it, but that didn't stop the developer from throwing an entire fucking essay before every single level explaining something about the virus outbreak. These texts are so long, they have to delete the old text to fill it in with new trash you don't care about, creating a NICE jarring effect where you're reading and poof your line is now kicked up! Very good fucking choice, guy.

"Tedius" is the FIRST word that should come to your mind when you think of Gross. You sit there at the end of the pathway you constructed, helping your turrets kill dull as stone zombies over and over again, using your earnings to make the zombie runway a bit longer with more turrets so you don't have to click as much.

The artstyle is ugly, there's no voice work, "necessitating" those god damn essays before every level, the music is boring, the sound effects are okay, and two levels in you'll realize you signed up for a miserable trip and thank god you can get a refund on Steam easily, now.

Not notable tower defense game. None of the towers or weapons really feel impactful, nor do any of the levels feel unique or different. Plus, why does money disappear if you don't pick it up 10 seconds after round end?

The story is told entirely through massive text dumps in between levels, which I found to be not interesting.

There are better tower defense games out there.
