I wanted to like this way more but the humor fell flat

I think this is the one time where i can say I wish i didnt play a sequel but i guess i cant complain i did get them for dirt cheap

Overlong and borderline tedious in places and still with a lot of scruffy errors (poor voice direction on some lines, spoken dialogue that doesn't match subtitles, wrong audio lines playing, broken sequences) and some puzzles that are just obtuse but still quite funny and with a nice art style. The blueprint system is a nice idea, but doesn't work in practice because it's too hard to work out what some of the elements even are (the different liquids in the cocktail) and it doesn't give you any useful feedback on what you've got wrong. Probably not as good as the previous game overall.

I dont know how we went from a really solid first game, to this unfunny garbage. As a defender of the Larry games, I really tryd multiple times to gives this a fair shoot but I ended up hating it more each time. Its all unfunny, cringy referencial humor paired with moon logic puzzles that suck every ounce of fun out of the game. Larry deserved better.

This is a huge step down from the first Larry: Wet Dreams. Where its predecessor had this juvenile and prepubescent humour that made you cringe (mostly in a "good way" is that a thing?) and roll with your eyes because the jokes are so bad, Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice is just bad. They cranked up the sexual innuendos and character behaviour to an inadequate twenty out of ten. Where Larry already went over the top in the first game, the new character Wang is just disgusting. Most of his lines aren't even witty in some way. He just flat-out describes sexual practices and other fetish stuff. Most of the girls are one-dimensional too, whereas in Wet Dreams Don't Dry they had at least some character. The puzzles range between easy clicking from solution to solution and "how the f should I have known this?". The story is not worth it and again they try to sprinkle in some backstory behind Larry's return from the 80s but it remains a funny screen instead of an explanation. The only thing I liked was the pop-cultural references to other games and movies and the Monkey Island 2-esque travel across three islands. Really brought me back to finding the four map pieces. In the end, I really had to force myself through the game though. Only try this game if you have a strong stomach for reeeally bad jokes and typical men.

Where the first game succeeded in this game did not and was just not funny at all... Do I regret playing these games, kinda?
