It’s hard to play! I would also rather play Retro Bowl than this anyway.

To the game's credit, it did make me feel some semblance of emotion. That emotion was mainly pure vitriolic disgust, but the attempt was made anyway.

It's fairly obvious that this game suffers from the 3DS hardware limitations and that EA treated this more as an afterthought and rushed it in order to get early 3DS adopters' money. With all that being said, this is actually one of my favorite 3DS "collection pieces" since it's a unique Madden game that deviates from the main console games since it's trying to do its own thing with proprietary graphics and gameplay engine.

I bought this alongside the 3DS at launch (the 3DS had a terrible launch line-up). I wasn't expecting anything spectacular but I also didn't expect this game to suck quite this hard. The graphics are straight out of 1998, not to mention that every player has the exact same character model. The commentary, if you can even call it that, is just the same 7 or 8 phrases repeated over and over. There are only 2 game modes, and the career just boils down to a schedule of games you have to play. No depth. No polish. Yuck. I knew EA was soulless but this game confirmed to me that they're genuinely evil.
