Marble Madness on the Game Boy Color tries to bring the frantic, physics-based charm of the arcade original to the handheld world, but it stumbles in the process. Clumsy controls make navigating the isometric courses frustrating rather than fun, and the level designs lose some of their ingenuity in the translation. While it captures the spirit of Marble Madness, this version ultimately feels like a pale imitation of its inspiration.
