despite the clunkiness of some parts, this game is actually very welcoming to newcomers, the recruit difficulty and being able to sandbox tweak some options to your liking means that this old entry is still very welcoming to newcomers who rather have a fun time than break their teeth in the full simulation, because even on easy it gets quite challenging.
one thing i very much enjoy is the light management of your mercenary company, its very light but you can get in dept with the mech customization of the guns and heat management.
