If someone were to ask me "what's the most 90s video game," I'd give deep consideration to this. It eerily predates the dark cultural turn of the late 90s and early 2000s, where shit got edgy cuz they had to grrr. Mutant League Football was gross cuz it wanted to be. In the face of EXTREEEME culture, it feels more celebratory and joyous than contemporaries.

Creative, funny, you can bribe refs and kill players. Such a good time.

Oh my god, I loved this game... It and its goofy antiques really got to me. The charm really rubbed off on me... I owned it briefly, when my dad helped me re-buy a Genesis, back in 2010 or so... Good times... Good times.

Game wasn't very fun but I was there for the mutants and carnage. Shame I had to play a football game to see it though.

Stylistically very cool and unique, especially for the era. However, the gameplay itself is barely an improvement over Tecmo Bowl, and not at the level of Genesis era Madden games.

Fun fact: if you decapitate all the QBs on the opposing team in this game, the opposing team automatically forfeits. Just like in real life!
