This was fun. Much more interesting (and manageable) than an MLB game.

With baseball season in full swing I had to revisit this for some nostalgia. Absolutely love the field creator tool and that will never be boring. The college re-skin is a pure gimmick and doesn't fundamentally change the game much from it's professional predecessor. But 06 revitalized the swing mechanics by introducing the analog swing system. For sports games it was pretty innovative when they're usually content to remain stagnant. This holds up and is still fun even if it plays much more arcade-y than what they were originally intending. Also it has one of the best soundtracks for a sports game ever. Love it. I'm 16 again.
