This game is actually insane. For what it was at the time, Papyrus really outdid themselves with this one. From 2003 up to current day, the community for this game still thrives, and is creative as ever. I myself have painted my own cars in Gimp, ran online races with friends and others I've met through this games community, and held my own races and series. This game on it's own is definitely something great, but what it's community has built in the 18+ years since it's release is something I've never found for another game of it's kind.
for as terribly dated and buggy as this game can be, the solid driving model and absolutely unparalleled customization still make this arguably the definitive nascar simulator almost two decades after its release. crazy to think what papyrus could have done had they retained the rights to the series longer.
