A mod for Plants vs. Zombies 2: It's About Time
Introducing PvZ 2: Reflourished, a PvZ 2 mod that aims to bring back the classic pre-2017 feel to PvZ 2, while adding a bunch of new content as well! From humble beginnings, this mod started as a remake of the classic Holiday Mashup experience, but kept growing, and growing, until we had a whole new game on our hands! PVZ2 like it always should be. The constant updates, variety of levels and amazing developers make it feel like a whole new game
This is exactly everything I ever wanted in base PvZ 2 back when I first played it in 2013.
There are no micro-transactions, with everything being obtainable with gems and coins. Also, said gems and coins are super easy to get. All you have to do is play the game and occasionally doing some side missions. As a result, it's a lot more fun and rewarding to actually unlock new plants and upgrades.
The removal of premium plants actually balances the game out a lot. Snow Pea, for example, was originally a premium plant in the original version and a needed plant to beat some Ancient Egypt levels. Now, you can simply unlock it in the first world. There is of course still challenge, but not as unfair and bs as it originally was.
There are also 2 new worlds: Holiday Mashup and Steam Age. Both of these worlds are awesome and so fun to play through. There also a ton of new plants, with more on the way as this game still receives updates.
EA and PopCap can only wish to make something this good.

Basically PVZ2 from back when the game was better, but no microtransactions, more content, better game balance, and a promise for future content updates. Easily the definitive version of PVZ2 and quite possibly my favorite PVZ game.
It's a little rough around the edges at points, but this mod really fixes everything wrong with PvZ2 and adds to it, creating a really great sequel to the first game. Wonderful work by the mod team.
This game is literally "What if we fixed everything wrong with PVZ2 and added even more amazing new content to the game?". The best PVZ game easily.
The Plants vs. Zombies sequel we've always wanted but never got. I still prefer the first game but this is a damn good job that the community has achieved with this.
