It turns out that if you remove the puzzles, story, proper gameplay and characters from a game known for its puzzles, story, gameplay and characters it winds up being a very mid project.
No offense though, as a fan project is pretty good and for RE2 fans this is a charming little experience that's worth the two or so hours that it takes to complete.
