Going to write this while the emotions are high. I love Risk. Let me say upfront this is a very well done version of the game. The art direction is excellent with what's so far my favorite PC layout. The simultanious game mode is a huge highlight for me, offering a whole new way of playing the game that proves to be a nice alternative to the standard ruleset. In so many ways this is my favorite version to boot up for a reason and I'm glad it continues to run on modern systems without any major issues. THAT SAID, man does this game feel especially cheap at times. The AI constantly seems to be against you and yes I understand the irony of that statement but I mean it occasionally feels as though in a game against multiple opponents they'll actively make decisions that only serve to put the player in a significantly worse spot, that allows them to get an easy continent, and that always puts them at a major dissadvantage to one of the other rivals. It's always whatever the absolute worst possible move they could make is what they go for and it gets infuriating. It's a huge reccuring issue of mine I have compared to other video game editions but it's also made worse by the dice. They feel agressively random here and it's very much not uncommon to have a turn in which every single combat roll you initiate ends in a loss. To an extent that's just an issue with the game in general and can be matched by good strategy, but to me at least it feels especially bad here compared to say the PS1 game or the modern Mobile \ Steam release. Maybe not the fairest comparison but that's just me. Like I said though the emotions are still high and these are prominant issues for me almost more so because I just witnessed them in quite possibly the dumbest turn ever and I had to talk a little about it lol

It has simultaneous turn Risk! The best Risk! So much fun!
