The Socom series continues with a single player campaign. 32 player capability is added to the online experience. The series is still about protecting America against urban and rural warfare. Three new AOs are included in this game: Morocco, Poland, and Bangladesh. Maps are 5 to 6 times larger than the last game. Multiple save points have been included. Vehicles can be driven by players and AI. The new weapon customization allows 30 different weapons and attachments. The new TCA system allows the player to quickly give a command.

Such a unique shooter. I wish we had more tactical third person shooters today. The AI is very challenging and the fact that you do not control all soldiers but give than commands that can lead to their death ramps up the tension.

Tried to be bigger and better than SOCOM 2, which just made it feel flat.

Has some interesting distinctions from similar military shooters, mostly the higher focus on tactics of action, but it's not very well put together or fun to play

When I played SOCOM 2 I thought to myself "this really couldn't get much worse". BOY was I wrong. Somehow they made this game even more scuffed than SOCOM 2. Barely even resembles the legendary god tier classic that it sprang from. Still haven't finished it. If I wasn't trying to build up the SOCOM speedrun community, I'd never finish this, but I suppose I'll do it ONCE just to finish a run. Maybe. If someone pays me.

Loved this game as a kid but can't say much more about it.
