Spinmaster is a platform/beat 'em up arcade game developed and released by Data East in 1993. The story follows the main character Johnny and his sidekick Tom as they battle their way through treasure-seeking, mad scientist, Dr. De Playne's henchmen in a quest to save Johnny's girlfriend Mary and get their hands on a hidden treasure. Both playable characters are armed with yo-yos but can also upgrade to other weapons (such as throwing stars, icicle daggers and guided missiles) to defeat all enemies and help them open treasure chests.

Neat arcade platformer with a very nice and manageable difficulty curve. Feels satisfying and brisk, with a good selection of weapon pick-ups. Just not extraordinary or remarkable in any way. But you could do a lot worse, and in co-op it's a good time.

This game is short, sweet, fast paced and more fun than any current gen game you could think of...

The art is cool and the gamefeel is snappy, but it’s a bit dull mechanically.

I really love this game it has some unexpected replay value

Knew I was gonna like this but didn't expect 'beating it once and immediately retrying for a better credit clear' like it, this game rules

It's coked-out cartoon ghosts n goblins, it feels extremely satisfying to pelt enemies with your projectiles, and the levels are very smoothly designed, totally feels like something I could 1CC with patience. The dashin' desperadoes are goofy goobers, hopping around as them is a treat.

Unfortunately it marks 2 back-to-back games I played tonight with bad tribal racial caricatures. The Two Nickels Joke :/
