While I still have only gotten the good ending at this point and I wish to see everything this game has too offer, I'd like to preemptively that this is a great game it really scratches my itch of detective stories. The storyline it's self is short and sweet surprising me with tense horror moments (Water stuff always gets me) but ultimately ending with a fulfilling and cute ending.
The art fits beautifully with the atmosphere creating a very similar stylistic aesthetic to dark water which is one of my favourite movies
My only critiques are the stiff character motions which makes sense considering it was done in a short time frame
and that there isn't more!!! I'd easily play an entire game of this it's the perfect formula for a mystery visual novel series

You play a himbo squidward with a himbo bf and a himbo dog. The true dog... he got the dawg in him. Now, this is short yeah! But it's a Game Jam entry comeon...

It has one choice and it's not a very obvious one. I picked the right one ofc I'm that dawg. Well, not that dawg. Eh. Btw that guy keeps putting sausages in my breakfasts top 10 anime roommates

For what it is, this is a very polished and fun short experience. I only wish it was longer.

enjoyable game in all aspects but so so short disregards a lot of important plot points.. would love a complete storyline

For its length, this is a very well-written visual novel that gives you many things to think about once you reach the ending. There are many subtle things you can miss with its characters, but honestly, that's what makes it fun!

Stillwater is a short visual novel which was made for a Game Jam (meaning there was not much time to create it). The story is about a private investigator, Hugo, and he is asked to help in a mysterious mansion where ghosts seem to come to life.

You can finish reading it it in 20-60 minutes depending on your reading speed. There are ~7000 words, only 1 choice and 2 endings. The novel is not very deep, but I think it's good nonetheless — its strongest points are the characters and the art. Also it's free, which is another reason to try it.

Now I really want more stories about Hugo, I think he as a character has some great potential! Hope I'll see more novels from this studio ♡
