Don't expect anything on the level of FIFA Street.

This is an arcade-style soccer game that had a $50 retail price, but feels very budget.

It has okay gameplay. 1v1, 2v2 or 3v3 soccer with tricks and unspectacular power-ups where the first team to score 5 points wins. Modes are as follows:

Trick Shot tasks you with hitting randomly placed targets in a carnival style mini-game. Many targets are difficult to see and the fact that the position of the ball obstructs your vision makes this mode more of a chore to play.

Panna, from what I could gather, is a 1v1 cage match where you initiate a mini-game of quick-time-events. If you win the QTE, you trick shot the ball between the opposing player and score a goal. Not a bad mode I guess, but ended too quickly.

Freestyle mode plays like Dance Dance Revolution, but not entirely. Instead, you input a button combination from a predetermined list of commands, then follow the button prompts that appear on screen.

All of these modes are rounded out by the single-player Become the King Mode. It's a standard Career type mode with the occasional optional objective (Use 5 superpowers in a match). A fair bit of player customization exists (you can't create a player from scratch, but can customize any existing player).

Oddly, this game requires you to be online and will not let you progress past the title screen without an internet connection. This is strange for a non-live service game.

Street Power Soccer just doesn't do anything new or interesting. Simplistic gameplay, lackluster game modes, repetitive music and the matches are over very quickly.

FIFA Street is (and probably the only) the definitive arcade-style soccer game series and while the Volta mode in the recent FIFA games isn't as spectacular as FIFA, Volta mode gave more enjoyment than Street Power Soccer.

Played a few matches, as it was free with Xbox Games with Gold and like always I'm keen to try any game. I unfortunately didn't like it as much as I thought I would, but I can see how this game would have appealed certain gamers. The controls to me felt a bit off, but I appreciate the game's soundtrack and uniqueness it tried to convey.
