TAISHO x ALICE is a fairytale visual novel in which YOU must save your Prince Charming! You will take on the role of the fairytale heroine in order to rehabilitate your chosen love interest and guide him to his "happily ever after"!
This game is exactly what it promised! You play the role of a quirky heroine, who is witty, sarcastic and lovable! She is exactly what you want from a otome game heroine! She was unfortunately not voice acted, even though most of the other characters were. It was quite sad and made the experience a little less fun.
The game starts where you meet a boy named Alice, whose personality is somewhat problematic. He is very rude, loud and annoying, and talks badly of the main character for some apparent reason. I wasn't really a fan of him, and I feel like the game would have been much better without him there. It just felt like he was forced into the story for no reason.
Both of the routes, for Red Riding Hood and Cinderella, were interesting and not as predictable as you would think! Both of their personalities were written exceptionally well, and the routes were very much enjoyable. There were twists and turns in the stories that I didn't predict and it was really fun to read through!
I have no hesitation in recommending this game to any otome or visual novel fans, although, I would personally wait for a discount, since the price for two routes seems a little excessive. The artstyle is good, the stories are interesting, and the translation is great. If you believe you will enjoy this game, I would recommend it wholeheartedly!

Single-handedly responsible for some of the greatest memes in VN history. Well, not this version but the first localisation that had an amazingly bad translation and even worse voice acting. I fondly remember the nights I spent with it, laughing quietly in my dark room while listening to the same guy voicing every single character.
The story and characters are just okay, if I'm being honest. Neither particularly charming nor downright bad. Weirdly short and yet it overstayed its welcome at times. Still, I am a lonely bitch with a fairy tale kink so I did have a good time.
