Fun and original game with lot of soul and personality. Controls and playability are top notch and it doesn't get repetitive because every level has some unique twist. Learning curve is too high, and trophy completition percentages show that most people didn't get very far before quitting, witch is a shame.

motherfuckers talking sweet about the last guy as if he didnt rescue that "fat dude" and that "popular person" and "President Bompei"...

A very visually vivid game that sticks in your brain, but the gameplay loop feels a little weird; I probably need to play more to get used to it.

cool idea and a fun game with a fucking banger main theme. gameplay is fun and almost every stage has a unique gimmick which leads to nice variety. the vips are neat incentives to check out the far corners of the map (also they have pretty funny descriptions). despite the fact there's a lot of clutter which makes it hard to see where you're going, there's a certain charm to the visuals with their irl locations mixed with weird monster models.

The gameplay loop for The Last Guy is really satisfying and arcade-y, I really just wish it was more visually distinct and controlled better.

The concept of using pictures of real world locations as the maps you travel on is novel, but it leads to a lot of visual clutter and terrible level collision that makes it very tough to get exactly where you want to in a level. Outside of that the menus are presented in this 90's hackerman computer style that's not super pleasing.

I give this game a passing score because I recognize the conceptual value and like the core gameplay quite a lot, but this game really doesn't hold up with its visuals and controls being so janky. At least I didn't pay for it individually though, since it's on PS Now.

I do like it when the weird voice goes "THE LAST GUY", though.

Incredible idea weird execution, google maps look makes it feel cheap even though there is good depth, don't think i'll ever get back to it but i'm glad I played it.
