So many things. Too many things, honestly. I've tried getting a long play in multiple times and can just never follow through. A personal flaw that ruins my enjoyment of the game comes from that I always want to play with the real world mods that are not configured properly for the game and the Cornellverse database just really doesn't interest me.

I booked a 8 month long Cody Rhodes vs Bowser feud for the title all for a 77 rated match when every other match on the card was in the 80's.

Daniel Garcia is the only one on the roster who has memories of a previous save I did and immediately got into a feud with his former tag partner; Max Verstappen before starting a cult.

No other game can do that.

The fundamental flaw of TEW, and all TEW-like games, is that they seem to basically misunderstand what makes Wrestling exciting and appealing.

To put it simply, when I want to play a wrestling company-simulator, I don't want to do so because I crave an accurate business simulation featuring wall of texts of sports stat. But I want to do so because, at its core, I want a systemic framework within which to play/experience fanfiction.

I love spreadsheet simulators, and TEW is an impressive spreadsheet simulator. But again, I'm not sure a spreadsheet simulator is a great medium for wrestling.

TEW2020 is the closest thing available on the market to a game I would really love to play, but sadly, it is not that game (She said, having played the previous versions for 100+ hours back in uni)

Runs like trash, has a bad UI, really poor loading times, could be better in so many ways. Yet, there's no other game quite like this, no other game even gets close to the level of complexity towards doing something many wrestling fans have always dreamed of, running their own promotion.

Much like Football Manager or its many many management alikes, you don't ever really win Total Extreme Wrestling but you do grow to respect everything it does. Adam Ryland, the wrestling management game's creator all the way back to the early 00s and Extreme Warfare Revenge, has added so much stuff to this ballooning depiction of just what the hell pro wrestling is that it's daunting to even try 2020 at first. This is one of the few sims where playing as the most known team (in the case of real world mods this would be WWE) is committing to a lot of time just to do a week's worth of their programming. And there's a lot of stuff that akin to a grand strategy game, you just have to figure out. But when you do, it's very satisfying. Using your brain or your pocketbook to figure out how to make a wrestling promotion major just works and coming from 2005, there are at least a few efforts made to ease newcomer bookers. Now it's time to accidentally be up until 5 getting the card ready for India's hottest wrestling company. See you at the show
