Wani Wani World is a reskinned Berlin no Kabe released by Kaneko in 1992 exclusively on the Sega Mega Drive. Charlie and Smiley, make their way through numerous screens of platforms and ladders filled with enemies. Their only method of attack is to bash a hole in the ground, wait for an enemy to fall into it, and then bash the enemy in the head, which causes the enemy to fall and transform into items and delicious food.

I guess this was Vector before he knew about the computer room.

I played this with a friend and it was alright I suppose

Maradona and gomit played berlinwall on vc earlier and i went 'wait where the fuck have i seen this before'

here the fuck i have seen this before. a reskin of berlinwall with some gameplay differences - but more notably, no Berlin Wall imagery.

Also, it feels just as bootlegged as the arcade game.

As single-screen action games go, it plays fine but has too many levels per world and gets old quick. Arguably too easy, too. There's a surprisingly high number of enemies stuck in isolated platforms that pose no threat until you navigate into their territory. Gives it more of a 'puzzle' feel with how you have to approach them but makes the stakes feel totally subdued. Probably better with friends.

Has solid visual presentation but very lacking music - again, distinctly bootlegged in how vanilla all the instrument patches are. Kaneko did way better than this on Air Buster, what's with the sudden stereophonic mediocrity?

Could be close to something worth remembering but it's shy in areas that just amount to it being unremarkable. Didn't bother finishing after the first three worlds and watched the rest on youtube.
