World of Goo is a multiple award winning physics based puzzle / construction game made entirely by two guys. Drag and drop living, squirming, talking, globs of goo to build structures, bridges, cannonballs, zeppelins, and giant tongues. The millions of Goo Balls that live in the beautiful World of Goo are curious to explore - but they don't know that they are in a game, or that they are extremely delicious. Fun little physics puzzler that does what it sets out to do. The pseudo-emo-cutesy 2000s aesthetic really sticks out in the modern day, but the game itself holds up decently.
I remember playing this game on and off, but the feeling of joy when I did finally a solve a puzzle was amazing. And bonus points for the "Red Carpet" theme (yes, I listened to the soundtrack way before I bought the game).

its not all that often i find it in my heart of hearts to call a game a masterpiece, but like, i can make an exception here, right? world of goo has so much to say, so many fantastic and well executed ideas, a crazy unique art style, the soundtrack is funky one moment and haunting the next, like... MAN this game is good. i dunno what else you want me to say. absolutely worth your time, without a doubt
