It's basically like a PS2 era Final Fantasy with ancient Chinese culture instead of robots; an easy to get into narrative driven game with ATB combat and a RPG-like progression system, it even pulls the old "Win battle, lose in cutscene" crap.
Overall I had fun with this game, it's a bit slow from time to time but I didn't have to grind at all, even for optional bosses, so it evens out for me.
What I don't like however is the always online DRM, I'm letting that slip because it may be a chinese standard I don't know about, but there is no reason for this game to be online at any point, it's 100% singleplayer as far as I know.
