Unsure why the elephant game for children has such an intellectual story. I wasn't really paying attention and then at the end there's like, musings on democracy and you're suppressing a robot uprising? weird just let me shoot peanuts and push boxes around until I solve the puzzles

This is one I've had on my wishlist since I got my switch 6 years ago. It was holding it up. But I've finally gone for it. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, in terms of story at least. Surprisingly philosophical for a cute game about an elephant.

The puzzles were pretty decent as were the dungeons, although the isometric view sometimes hindered depth perception. Otherwise, a decent enough puzzle oriented rpg, which very much has influence from zelda and final fantasy etc. It looks pretty good, too. Big, bright, bold colours. Very Nintendo.

I'm glad I finally got this off the wishlist at least.

Complete playthrough. Yono and the Celestial Elephants is an utterly charming game, with simple, bright and colourful graphics and an unchallenging plot. The gameplay is somewhat in the style of a 2D Zelda game, which is what attracted me to the game, and on that front it's serviceable enough, but very much on the easy side - to the extent that on occasion Yono can start to feel somewhat tedious; it is, however, quite short (taking somewhere around 3-5 hours for a full playthrough), so this feeling doesn't become too pronounced.

Cute game. A little annoying in places and I have no reason to ever touch it again but it was nice for the couple hours it took me to play through.

A very lineal Zelda-like game where we play as an extremely adorable elephant sent to bring peace to a world filled with puzzles. Both exploration and combat are fairly easy, but doesn't get too tedious. However, I don't know if I'd recommend this game to small children, as the story is pretty complex compared with what I was expecting from such a game.
