Very good game. Felt very similar to Katana Zero throughout all of it which was really neat. I never expected anything to capture that same feeling. The combat was pretty fun with everything jelling together very cleanly from the hook to the dashes, every new movement mechanic felt like it slotted in effortlessly. There were some noticable hiccups in the game with something like Major Song's gauntlet feeling impossible to be good at due to the dash being shit. Firebird was also not a great boss, but in hindsight I don't dislike it as much as I did in the moment. Just unfortunate game design. The story was a definite highlight as well though. I didn't cry like I did with some of the other stories this year, but I definitely got a bit emotional as Mari talked to our main character in the ending cutscenes. The gradual piecing of everything together that something was up with you was also done extremely well. Finally, as a sidenote I finished this game in just two days.
