terrific game. every part of it is wonderful and i can't recommend it enough.

a different take on the series and my first FF game, love it. need to replay it (my saves were deleted when I was a kid and was in the final dungeon)

it was fun for a while but i couldnt get into it as much as i love the aesthetics 🥲

When this first launched in 2006, I didn't like it. Too much of a departure from the FF formula. In the years since, I've grown to appreciate it much more. Balthier is one of the best FF protagonists.

One of the best games I have ever played!

I love the combat system for this game, very innovative!

The most expansive PS2 game I ever decided to start up.

Turning it into an auto playing dungeon crawler via meticulous setup is phonemically and the art direction is top notch. Everything else is pretty standard for a Final Fantasy however with the plot being notably average

Great game, not as good as Zodiac Age, but one of my favorites regardless.

I will never, ever understand why this game is so underrated.
I played it to death, and loved every moment. The world is so magical and is so well crafted that navigation from one area to another is always a feast. And the gambit system is a genius way to replace the classic menu based commands.
Oh well... Haters gonna hate...

The most underated Final Fantasy.

A game in dire need of one more act. Larsa should have been the main character fite me

Fran was my bisexual awakening, thanks Fran.

this is the single Final Fantasy title I'd be half tempted to revisit, but idk. these games are a time investment, and I found this one to be the worst due to how combat works. grinding sucks ass in JRPGs no matter what, but it feels even worse here somehow. I remember running into a roadblock in the forest, taking a big break, coming back, grinding... and still being unable to beat that boss. no idea what was up with that, the guide I used was convincing me I was supposed to be strong enough, but I dunno, I couldn't do it. I ended up cutting through some other area to get where I needed to go. thank god that was a thing, or I likely never would have finished this game.
but it's a slog, and with a story that personally bored me to tears. I have a friend who ADORES this game and its story. we're great friends, but incredibly different people in many ways. I suppose that's why he likes it and I don't, haha. I honestly remember so, so little of this game because of how fucking boring it was to me personally. I oughta find a good let's play or stream series of this to watch. I do remember it being a considerably comfy game. very aesthetically pleasing with nice music.

Love this game, one from my childhood. The Gambit system was fantastic, the story was great and the characters are some of my favourites

I have been unfair to FFXII. As a high school kid I found the plot and characters to be boring as sin, I hated the gambit system (and any other system that leads to a game playing itself), and I found stuff like the Zodiac Spear to be super off-putting. The horrible audio quality on every spoken line didn't help either.

My opinion has changed in later years, partially due to the Zodiac Age. Certain changes like the new license board and being able to speed up the game address issues that I had with the original release, but there's also plenty that the remaster didn't touch that I've changed my mind on or become more reasonable about. I still don't like gameplay systems like Gambits, but I have to admit that the gambit system is a damned fine way to do it. The plot is more interesting than I gave it credit for, and I didn't pay enough attention to the "good" characters. There's also just a ton of polish and content and love put into this game, and I can't help but respect it.

Don't listen to Ondore's lies!

I prefer having my characters being unique and not have to spend points to use armor. Oh and offline MMO gameplay can be done well as shown by Xenoblade, but FF12's style was boring as shit like most other MMOs.
