It has a cool rogue's gallery of creatures and mythical characters to defeat, but the combat is mostly very clunky wrestling-style grappling.

I like the huge super moves and shit, old style wrestling games like this one can be pretty fun. Would love to see a remake or spiritual successor with improvements because its age shows for sure.
