i fucking despised wasting many hours on the game pass quest for this game back in uh i think april.

for like 5 days i spent an hour searching for something and sometimes spotted an animal. but even then after i killed itTHE QUEST NEVER POPPED. this game wasted so much of my time in the span of a week for a measly like .05 cents that i never got. so disappointed in myself but even more disappointed in the trash that is this game. smh.

its not relaxing. its boring. stop lying to yourself

love this game in touch with m inner predator slow and steady very realistic reminds me when i went hunting with pa back in the day very quiet slow target vitals more experience get a trophy lots of choice hunting guns very relaxing one of my fvaourites wish you could skin and butcher like did with pa venison always taste better get it yourself red blood drip on the floor stare it right in the eyes after skinning cant do now since live in city oh well just a game cant do everything childhood nostalgia love it so much

In this game, you can hunt falling birds and other deer. In it, you can easily be knocked down to death by a bear and you won't know it. In it, you can knock down a friend on an ATV. And most importantly, you can hit a target and accidentally find it only after hours of playing. The most fun begins when the hunt is on you, when you see in front of you, it means that you have already been surrounded by a pack and the massacre is about to begin. The game has excellent graphics and sound, good physics and a cooperative that complements the passage well.

Its kind of like a fishing game where you question why it even exist. Pretty much every AAA open world games set in the wilderness has hunting mechanics that are way more fun than this game. Yeah theyre not "realistic" but I wanted realism I would just take a walk in the woods. But I guess this game isnt designed for small headed americans to have "fun", rather it is for German sim addicts to zone out too while they listen to podcast and drink Pilsner after a hard day's work. The American Equivalent of this phenomenon is pot and call of duty

95% walking, 5% shooting. I know that it´s supposed to be an acurrate simulation of real life Hunting, but then they should have named it Hunting
Simulator 2017.

Mechanically, this game is solid and incredibly immersive. Bar none, the most visually gorgeous game I have ever played. You can easily sink tons of hours into the first two maps that ship with the game, and the first handful of maps they released as DLC are also very high quality.

The problem is that the game has turned into a mismanaged mess, filled with game-breaking bugs, save file corruption, and cheap quality DLC. This game is so infamous for its horrible bugginess that the game's main subreddit always contains a disclaimer in huge font to back up your save file directory on PC before attempting to play any major update. If you're on Xbox and your save file gets corrupted, you'd better hope the cloud has your back or else you're SOL. It's really a shame what this game has turned into, but if you're alright with just playing the base game along with the first year or so of DLC, then this is a great relaxing immersive experience to have.

This is the best hunting simulator that has ever existed, by far. For a hunting game, it is perfect in nearly every way. I suppose the low score here is because a lot of people don't like such a realistic simulator, as it is very slow and can be difficult at times.
If you care about graphics, this is perfect for you. Some of the best I've ever seen in a videogame. Good enough that I believe purchasing this game purely to walk and look around is worth it.
Very satisfying and addicting once you get the hang of it. One of those games you can easily rack up hundreds of hours.

O melhor jogo de caça do mercado, sem mais.

COUP D'DOUZE DANS L'CHEVREUIL

This is probably a banger with all the DLCs. I don't think I'll ever buy them but...🏴‍☠️

Fun hunting simulation game that I come back to every once in a while. Good replayability with multiplayer, story wasn't interesting at all.

The best hunting game out there. Chill and inmersive

It was so very boring. I was hoping a grizzly bear would come out of the woods and kill me or something but not even that happened.

Maybe I didn't give it enough time, but this game made 4 hours feel like 20. It's got some charm, but I get the sense that buying half the DLC is needed to make it more fun.

The missions are kind of lackluster and it only became worse when I realized the lack of animal diversity and movement options per map.

I don't necessarily think the game is bad, but it's not for me. I would enjoy a less realistic tracking experience. In playing, I just could not stand having to go prone and crawl 80m for the hope that the animals wouldn't run away (all while calling to hope they don't decide to wander away too).

I think I'm happy leaving this game behind. Oh, and it crashed a bunch too.

Okay, not my style. Felt bad for killing the animals. gf cried.

I never thought I'd like a game like this, but it is both amazingly relaxing and satisfying. Only downside would easily be the sheer number of DLCs

Reviewed as part of my coverage of the Game Pass December 2021:

The ultimate stealth game.

It’s peaceful to walk around the woods, thinking about stuff and enjoying the wilderness, but then you hear an animal call and suddenly you think “I’m going to kill that.” That’s the Hunter in a nutshell. The core of the game is hunting animals across various locations and attempting to make amazing kills.

The big thing is this isn’t an action game. You can stake out a location and let the animals come to you, or you can stalk them down but ultimately it’s about trying to avoid animals sensing you and getting off a perfect shot. Think, every sniper or stealth mission ever. And for what it does, it’s well done, but the majority of the game is an open world, so you’re going to have to choose what to hunt, though there are quite a few choices.

Pick this up if you like stealth or hunting. I had a great time with this game, but it also is decently hard, animals will sense you at a good distance and a big piece of it is trying to find them before they find you. Still, if you can avoid rushing it, there’s a lot of fun to be had here.

Scored this cheap with all of its DLC as of October 2021 and the game felt full and was very enjoyable as a simulator. However, I would have been incredibly underwhelmed if I had just gotten the base game, what with there only being two maps and no ATVs.

Good idea, subpar execution

Never have hunted, probably never will but this is the closest I have gotten to being mauled by a bear. This game is an amazing pass time. Good multiplayer, good guns, good graphics and amazing Replayablity.

hunting is actually kind of hard icl I can only kill rabbits those deers can take a whole ass bullet and run away

I shot a deer through the dick and it didn't count as a clean kill.
