Pretty disappointing remake all around. I'll start by naming the things that were done well:
1. Very good music remixes
2. CO designs are pretty good
That is unfortunately all the good I have to say. Now for the bad:
1. The artstyle is a massive step down for Advance Wars and Wayforward. Even if you can deal with the cheap plastic artstyle, the game has a problem with units being indistinct from each other.
2. The AI is somehow much worse than the original games.
3. The game launched with several bugs and I'm not sure if they've even been fixed and I don't care to find out.
4. The multiplayer we got was incredibly disappointing and basically an afterthought.

I don't understand why you would ever play this over Advance Wars By Web. It's a shame that this is probably the last time this franchise will ever see the light of day.

Had an almost identical experience to my first time with these games in high school: an insanely good time, extremely replayable, then I just stopped wanting to play it on a dime. Can't hold that against them tho cus its just wild how much fun they produced out of such a simple system. Real masterpiece stuff here. Only knock is that I wish there were even more maps/scenarios in vs CPU mode.

This game is only fun when you're good. I know that screams "git gud", but other games are fun enough when I lose that I want to keep playing, and then I get better. The battles in the campaign of the first half are structured so that it's never really about winning and losing, but about winning quickly or losing quickly. I love how the game feels when I've figured out a strategy to quickly get rid of the enemies, and I hate how it feels when I've screwed up and am oh so slowly waiting to get through the missions.

The soundtrack is great. The CO art and voice acting is great. But I dunno, it just feels a little off somehow.

De lujo. 40 horacas de estrategia wena.

Chiquito vicio me pegaba con la DS

The Switch's sleeper hit, don't sleep on this one

Completed 1... back to 2 at some point

Played only through the first game

Great game, nothing new though - I would love to see a new title in this series.

The two campaigns may not be created equal, but Re-Boot Camp is an essential collection that will satisfy long-time Advance Wars fans.

I think I have to mentally shelf this game for now. I love the two GBA games and the DS game but something feels off about this version of the beloved classics. Maybe these games have fallen victim to Nintendo's bizarre need to have super chatty games that don't really say anything so it's just clicking endlessly through needless text boxes. Maybe it's just been 20+ years and you truly cannot ever go back home again.

Regardless, nostalgia has suckered my wallet once again.

This game is a fantastic update to a classic strategy game. Being able to make new maps is such a great choice. I think not doing a lot to the main formula really helped.

The AI can be a pain in the ass sometimes, being borderline unrelenting. And my other complaint is the voice acting. Arin Hanson is an acceptable VA, but he did absolutely nothing for Max. Like if you're gonna provide voices to these iconic characters for the first time, it really needs to be larger than life.

But if you like strategy games this is a good way to go.

Finished the first campaign, and the game finally clicked for me. It's nice and cozy, and hard? But doesn't feel hard? War - it's cute! Looking forward to seeing it in real life.

Was put off by the art changes till I saw it in motion (looks real nice, still prefer the prior though) annnd cheating ass ai has been toned down so I’m all for this

A well made remake that often feels like a loving tribute to the originals. There’s tons of care put into the presentation. I love the COs animations; WayForward accomplished a lot with a little in that respect.

After finishing the first ending of AW1, and getting two thirds through the second campaign, I’m finding myself unexcited to keep playing. The missions of Black Hole Rising are generally improvements over the original, they just get too long and can feel like a grind.

I may return and either persevere or tweak the difficulty but I currently feel like I had my fun with the game.

Was a good time, I liked OG Advance Wars so this was a good lil time.

I love the original and this is a solid remake that is faithful to the source material. I only wish that they would have made it so you could play it online with strangers and added an extra new mode to spice things up a bit.

I regret buying this, clearly a remastered game style, was expecting more Fire Emblem. No plot to mention, and got bored looking at the same five units over and over and over.

Talk about a near perfect remake of the original 2 games! Graphical update, voice acting, new cutscenes, and the addition of online multiplayer(although sadly you can only fight with friends and only on small size maps) make this collection the best way to experience these games! Map maker also has new tools to allow for more crazy player made maps which is a big boon for me! I haven't done all the extra modes yet but in due time I will >:)

Excellent remake of some excellent strategy games. It was such a treat revisiting these games. I enjoyed everything about it, minus two things: one is there's no online lobby, which is ridiculous as this game SCREAMS for online play and while you can battle with people you've added as friends, this game would be perfect for match making with random people. The other complaint I have is that the art style feels a bit off and cheap looking. Everything else however is excellent.

Dropeado.

I was obligated to buy this since it's the first AW game in 15 years. I even bought it twice because I'm a cuck. By the way, did you guys know of this thing called an emu-

This has pretty much become the new Metroid Prime 4 and Pikmin 4 at this point.
