Friday the 13th: Killer Puzzle is a great spiritual sequel to Blue Wizard Digital's previous game Slayaway Camp, finally getting the game license for Friday the 13th as they truly deserve. The turn-based puzzles are a joy and the unlockable Jasons are as good as the level scenarios. Soundtrack is top notch too, a good mix of reusage from Slayaway Camp and new tracks.

I'm also a big fan of the new Daily puzzle mode, it adds replayability and is genuinly a fun addition to the game.

What confuses me is the new weapon grinding system, obviously there to support the F2P lootbox system put in place (that Friday the 13th license ain't free). Not sure if I'm a big fan of that, as essentially you're grinding for weapons - some you can only get from recipes which you use other weapons to craft.

If you were a fan of Slayaway Camp, this is probably the closest to a sequel we'll get.

I couldn't finish because it got too repetitive and I would actually have to pay to complete 100% anyway, but is quite fun when you start.

bem bom

unironically i only downloaded this bc it was free and leaving the steam store and got fomo lol

Paying a dollar to turn off ads quickly turned this into one of my absolute favorite time killers on my tablet. I even beat the full story mode twice and was addicted to the daily puzzle for months afterwards.

My only complaint is there is no system to make getting every single weapon really feel possible without driving yourself insane. Way too many repeats in boxes even of high rarity weapons you already have.

Cute puzzle game. maybe even better then the 2 other games. the costumes are pretty cool.

I dont understand why I feel so strong about it but its just so stupid and the use of a good liscense for this trash upsets me

Starts out as great puzzle game full of slasher cliches and fun kills. If you've played Slayaway Camp, it's basically that but with official licencing. There's loads of levels and it does get quite challenging in its later stages, but once the joke wears off, it kinda loses its appeal. Good for short puzzle bursts or if you're after some achievement points.

I picked it up for a couple of quid on sale. I enjoyed it for what it was, but I felt beholden to its daily challenges for far too long.
