My first outing in the Animal Crossing franchise did not leave a strong impression. The amount of daily activities available is abysmally low to the point that you can reach the main credits with time travel in the span of a couple hours.

I love Animal Crossing, however it felt too repetitive and limited after a while. But maybe that was because of my play-style. I'm going to give it another chance later on.
I hate this game, why did crafting have to infect Nintendo for a while. It's cute, just sucks that the already parsed down animal dialogue is even worse in this one.
I don't know what it is but this entry in the series feels more like a chore than previous games. Maybe its the crafting slowing everything down, or making it more of a slow progression more than "instant" gratification, but I could not get into it like I did new leaf. Still, it's animal crossing, it's relaxing, cozy, and the gameplay loop by nature is addictive. I will say the customization options for the island really add to this game and make it worth a try over others in the series, even if I personally could not get into it as much.

A really chill game during covid.
what can i say. its a classic lol. you can never finish this game and although ive had it for years my island is no where near being completed. its great for a little every day life game. i honestly think ill play it forever. i know theres gonna be no new updates but that doesnt even matter because the possibilities are endless in this game. if only i can decide on a theme for my island.

awfully mid, the only thing that really stands out about it is the decoration and building being perfected on this game, after that however it's just the most lifeless mainline animal crossing game
Juego de pandemia y mi primer Animal Crossing, esta guapardo y mas cuando se podia hacer lo de las tarantulas y especulaba con nabos.
Played during Covid like most and I am glad the game accompanied me during that and kept me distracted. After a while, I did get bored though and got impatient. I wish I was better at Island design but I just wasn't good. Maybe I will pick it back up in the future, who knows?
part of this might just be that i dont like how most animal crossing games make me have to play at earlier hours than I'd like but also having played this game when it first came out and looking at it even now it feels like Nintendo dropped this game before it had a chance to become more than it could've. all of the villagers feel less like actual neighbors and more like cookie cutter dolls with 3 lines of dialogue, the way the online works is once again filled with nintendoisms that make it more inconvenient than it needs to be. the new features this game adds are very good but it doesn't make up for the fact that it feels like half of what animal crossing is at its core is missing, and while the crafting is a really fun addition it also just feels very unintuitive at the same time.

i dont think i could really pinpoint why i enjoy playing this game as much as i do. I'm not the best designer ever but im so happy with my island. i love fishing and catching bugs and visiting others islands. Playing this game in lockdown was a moment in time ill forever fondly look back on

Cute and fun for a little while but without cheating you can only really play for like 20 mins a day, mostly doing the same chores until you have saved up to do the next cool thing
