Peak game no one's played. Fast paced gaming is so much fun. Things are all gas no breaks and the game knows not to make you play perfectly to match the speed. Story ranges from alright to having no idea what's going on, and sometimes the stage design is not the best.

Eu queria ser igual o Copen, mas o racismo dele é imenso.

Great way to play these games. Everything is high res and clean, and there's none of that ASG1 Steam second screen BS. 10/10

Got this to play GV 2 because I never got around to playing it on the 3DS. It looks good and plays well on Switch.

I know I'm probably rating this a bit to high and puting it on my current favorite games list is kinda cheating because it's 2 games but it's 2 games that I love so I don't feel bad about it

Gunvolt is a rad game! I was hoping I'd like GV2 more, but it was probably about the same. The 2nd game dragged a bit and definitely felt a little less deliberate in its direction than the first, but that didn't stop me from picking up Luminous Avenger iX.

Banger games, needs more attention and the ost is great. Painful to get S+ rank but still fun as shit flying around as Copen zooming through stages, miss the karaoke in 2 tho.

For a Switch port of a 3DS game, I feel like this is one of the better examples available. The frame rate actually feels improved on both of the included titles and the graphics do seem a tad sharper, although that's to be expected given the difference in quality between the 3DS and Switch screens. At its core, this is a love letter to Mega Man in all of the best ways with a nice sprinkling of grind and buy items/equipment to provide incentive for your efforts. I'm at the end of the first title and about 20% through the second one, and I love them both. Take this with a grain of salt because I grew up loving Mega Man.

Maybe one of the best sidescrolling action games ever made

I've only ever played the demo of the first game on 3DS and I knew for a fact it was definitely a great game. I copped the striker pack awhile ago and yeah, Gunvolt 1 is good, while Gunvolt 2 is GREAT.

The game definitely has a skill curve to it, but once you get things down, it all clicks, and the game rewards you for it. The story between the two games was fairly solid, a bit predictable at times, so I wasn't fully invested as I wanted to be, but the characters are all pretty charming and funny so I wasn't completely out of touch. Copen took a bit for me to click in GV2, but his play style is really fun and rewarding in it's own right.

I definitely recommend the Striker Pack as the best way to play these two games, and if you're into stuff like Mega Man Gunvolt will likely be up your alley. (I'm not sure if the GV1 Steam port got fixed so bear in mind if you wanna get the series on PC).

Love these two games and the added content! This series, shovel knight, and Megaman will always remind me how much I still enjoy fast paced 2-D plat-formers.

I finished Gunvolt 1 two days ago and then blasted through Gunvolt 2 just now and they are both very fun games. They took a short bit to learn but when you get the rhythm down, it's extremely enjoyable. There is also a very high skill ceiling for these games and the game rewards you for going above and beyond. The story was nice and had a nice set of twists to it that sadly didn't shock me while playing it only because I had seen entire playthroughs of both games before. Both games aren't extremely long either so you can honestly just pick this up and finish it in a day. All in all, they're both very entertaining games.

The Gunvolt games play and feel a lot like a much more fluid Mega Man with an over the top anime story and cutscenes. Solid collection of two games.

Striker Pack is a collection of the first 2 Azure Striker Gunvolt games, a pair of "jump n' shoot" platformers that take a lot of inspiration from series like Mega Man and Mega Man Zero (a series also developed by Inti Creates) but also manage to add their own spin to the genre thanks to the addition of the "tagging" mechanic. The series feature 2 playable characters: Gunvolt, whose gameplay focuses on shooting enemies to tag them and then attack from afar and Copen, whose gameplay focuses on dashing all over the place, tagging them by dashing towards them.

I got pretty addicted to the games' scoring system, which rewards clearing stages getting hit as few as possible (preferably not getting hit at all) and going for crazy combos by killing multiple enemies at once (as Gunvolt) or by never touching the ground (as Copen). Going for S+ ranks (highest possible) is very very challenging but also extremely rewarding.

Overall, I really loved the games and think they're quite underrated platformers. However, if you're not the type of person to go for challenge runs or stuff like that then maybe you won't enjoy them as much since I feel the games only shine if you're trying to go for high ranks.

Copen gameplay is chef's kiss but also easy mode
Gunvolt gameplay brings me joy but also pain and suffering
Story is cool too (sometimes)
