The game's great but it took NK a whole ass year to make it great which sucks
I love ninja kiwi and I love the bloons franchise but god this was such a letdown. the exp grind to unlocking tower upgrades to use in pvp duels is the worst slog ever. ninjakiwi has made minor attempts to fix the issue in the past but this system is a nightmare to deal with as a new player which only makes the already high barrier to entry worse. the love put into this game's appearance and personality is apparent, which makes the glaring issues in this game feel so much worse. the game is rarely updated with anything meaningful, locked behind the speed of which btd 6 gets a new tower or upgrade, which is close to never. all you have to look forward to while playing are patch notes and balance changes which make the game feel stale. luckily, many of the meta issues that arose during its launch month have since been fixed and the variation in loadouts makes the ranked grind much more fun than it was initially, but i can't in good faith recommend it and it's dwindling player base seems to agree with me.

Had a VERY rough start, left like it was released too early. The game is great now though.
I love Bloons games but the grind for higher tiers and rapid development of a single clear meta you HAVE to adopt or else be destroyed made it unfun. I may return with coming updates but for now, I’m done.
As a bloons veteran I have pretty mixed first impressions on this one.
Firstly this is simply btd 6 but you need to sell you soul and time to bloons demon to unlock upgrades because you earn 11xp when you lose and tier 4 upgrades want want you to spend 10k xp
sounds bad right? yeah
other than that only being able to use 4 heroes and two of them being pay to unlock is pretty sketchy. Also jones sucks who would pay 3k to unlock him lmao.
This game definitely needs some major balancing otherwise in a month or so everyone will stop playing it lmao.
Edit after some time: It was fun for a while but not much atm. Replicating btd6 on a different engine broke the game so much that every meaningful strategy relies on a game breaking bug.
