maybe the best fan-project ever? so much love packed into every inch and god damn there are a lot of inches

Nowhere near finished because the later levels get absolutely demonic in difficulity, but WOW is this an incredible mod with game design on the same level as the original. Endlessly creative and has always managed to surprise me with new ideas

the best thing ever made in celeste
11/18 gm maps completed
one day i will shatter the pantheon

Were it not for one level, this game would be perfect, and the game MORE than made up for that one level. While it lacks any of the ludo-narrative harmony the original had with it's narrative, it makes up for that with sheer inventiveness, a constant stream of new mechanics, and a skill ceiling that constantly pushes players to their limits. This game is not perfect, but it deserves a perfect score.

Only played the beginner lobby for now so that I've seen it for the upcoming AGDQ. Loved most of the gimmicks, my favourite was the honey one

Finished intermediate lobby and taking a break for now. These levels are insanely creative and every aspect of them is well executed. I hate the puzzle maps though.

I beat the Beginner and Intermediate lobbies. The Intermediate heartside took me a very long time soooo I think I'm done for now.

But the mod is so good! Really awesome levels and this mod reminded me of how fuckin' good Celeste is.

One of the best mods for a video game I have ever played. There are so many incredible levels leveraging Celeste's outstanding movement and mechanics along with brand new ideas spruced in from a huge group of talented level designers. I love what they did with the format of different lobbies with difficulty levels within. They do a great job of teaching the player and scaffolding improvement opportunities in a sequential and fair way. I also love that they threw in the compilation heart sides. Each lobby is your own personal story and it feels very rewarding to be able to conquer them in your own time. As of now I have completed all of the lobbies except for grand master which I hope to tackle one day. Also i'd be remiss to not mention the incredible work that many of the composers did on the music. I especially liked the song for belated valentines day, what a banger that one is. Some levels I really enjoyed were Rose Garden, Square the Circle, In Filtration, Forest Rush, Sands of Time, Bee Berserk, Clockwork, and Skyline Usurper.

So far have completed everything past Expert Difficulty and currently 4 Grandmaster maps done. I'm gonna keep going until I finish Grandmaster or just give up.

But so far, this has been the best mod I've played period. Every map is unique in their own way and especially polished with decoration, gameplay, and even the original music everywhere. Celeste is one of my favorite games ever and this mod is a love letter to it. When I played the 2020 Spring Collab, it was a nice little expansion, but Strawberry Jam feels like a whole different game. Its beginner maps are also easily accessible to people new to the modding scene or even the game with a smoother difficulty curve later in. Props to the whole SJ team for making one of my new favorite things.

Celeste is one of the best platformers. It's both a masterpiece itself and host to a vibrant community of excellent modded levels. Strawberry Jam is the best celeste content that has ever been made. Its brilliance outshines spring collab 2020, the base game and even farewell.

Strawberry Jam is a gift to the world. One that is unbelievably jam-packed with the efforts of over 300 people.

So many of these levels just blow me away. So many of these levels are pure manifestations of fun. So many of these levels are incredibly clever. So many of these levels are delightfully evil. Even the ones that don't stand out to me or aren't my style are well done. I love how many different kinds of experiences these levels offer, this pack is non-stop creativity.

The visuals are so gorgeous...sometimes it feels like they're showing off. Even just exploring each lobby is a treat. I'm surprised how satisfying it is to collect each level's completion sticker.

The soundtrack is huge and incredibly diverse, it's one of my favorite osts

If you're intimidated by Modded Celeste, don't worry there's 5 lobbies of difficulty, each with it's own set of levels. The beginner lobby is easier than what the base game throws at you (and also has some of my favorite levels!) Also included in the pack is an excellent training and tutorial area, where you can learn and practice the tech you would need for any lobby. This is probably one of the best celeste resources that's been made so far, a perfect place to start if you're interested in going deeper into the game

2 of the lobbies here are way above my skill level. Each level in the advanced lobby took me hours. At the time of writing this review I have 150 hours in strawbery jam, 90 of them are in the advanced lobby. Yet as my deathcount piles up so does my love. {The heartsides are frustrating though, they're definetly the lowpoint of the experience. I hate how long their rooms are}

I've played a few celeste mods, I intend to play a lot more. This one will probably remain my favorite, i absolutely adore the insane variety. I am grateful to the strawberry jam team for creating something so wonderful. I am grateful to the celeste modding community for elevating one of all time favorite games to somehow greater heights

must play for everyone that likes celeste. so much fun. props to everyone involved in the making of this masterpiece of a mod.

All I’ll say is if you love Celeste then you owe it to yourself to check this mod out, unbelievable quality.

Fantastic mod that got me to rebuy the game on PC.

Definitely nowhere near as polished as the original Celeste, but at the same time this is just more Celeste content, what's not to love.

It still finished the game even though I didn't even touch the grandmaster lobby right? No way am I going anywhere near that monster.

easily my favorite celeste map pack. music is phenomenal, art is beautiful, and almost every level is great as well (except fucking dropzle).
the intro cutscene for the prologue is particularly beautiful, almost makes me forget i'm playing a community made map
i haven't fully completed the grandmaster lobby here, because this shit is brutally difficult. but this is absolutely worth playing no matter what skill level, given the amount of variation in difficulty. my biggest gripe with this is the amount of damn puzzle maps! i'm sure some people like them, but i am way too stupid to spend my time playing these. i finished a couple puzzle maps legit, cheesed dropzle by falling through the pixel perfect gaps, and just looked up a walkthrough for most of the rest..
the nice thing is that there is no barrier to progression here, other than the heartsides you can play any map in any lobby no matter how many levels you have completed before. if you are confident in your skills you could skip straight to grandmaster if you want. there's also a gym for each of the lobbies that goes over all tech that is required for any level in that lobby.
either way, fantastic mod

Quick Disclaimer, I am nowhere near finished with this. I only have beaten The first 2 lobbies, and did a few advanced levels.

Overall, my experience with this mod has been stellar. This is a huge step up from the 2020 Spring Jam. Nearly every level showcases just how much love and care was put into it. The challenges offered vary but they keep putting interesting ideas forward, and also introduce BEAUTIFUL theming to the visuals and sometimes the story.
My favorite level so far absolutely has to go to Paint in the Beginner Lobby.
My only critique would be how more gimmicky levels, like Dropzle, are mandatory to progress to the heart-side, the final level of the lobby that combines all the previous levels. I struggle a lot with some of the very gimmicky puzzle levels and wish they could be skipped, and perhaps if they want to be a part of the heart-side, they could be optional puzzles. Just a thought.

Overall, fantastic mod for an already amazing game.

Strawberry Jam is an amazing project made by many talented people in the Celeste community. The soundtrack is great and a lot of the levels are full of personality and unique gimmicks. It's also a good place to learn new techniques and practice them in the built-in tutorial sections.

Unfortunately I'll have to take half a star off because some levels have annoying gimmicks or are just straight up unfun at times, but it's to be expected for a collab to have a few bad apples every now and then. Please don't let this demotivate you, as the experience in every level differs from person to person and Strawberry Jam is definitely worth your time.

This is a GREAT levelpack for Celeste. It's the first one I thoroughly played and enjoyed. The level design and the spritework are fantastic, each level having unique pixel art. In addition, there is a ton of new mechanics and every single level has a distinct goal. Some have stories which are small but sweet, with the level design and pixel art complimenting that level's atmosphere. This was a great job done by all the creators, and I hope we can get some more awesome level packs like this!

This is a side message but it would be awesome if we'd get a huge levelpack with a story, as this one didn't have one. It's awesome regardless.

More unique and extremely high quality maps for Celeste - what's not to like? Can't recommend it enough, especially the gorgeous paint.

The best mod for Celeste.

(reviewed in Advanced Stage) I'm not done, and I maybe never will be, but this is truly a masterclass in platforming. Taking the skeleton of Celeste and creating such a long and enriching and creative pack of levels like this is nothing short of a miracle, especially when almost all of the levels are fantastic. The mechanics introduced are so incredibly fun, and it's amazing seeing what people can do with them as I progress through the mod. Some of these levels should get people hired in game design immediately. Absolute perfection, or as close as can be.

so so so so good but honestly i just am not good enough to play most of this LOL

"paint" was phenomenal

im not done with this and probably wont be for awhile but this is a fantastic mod so far doing all of the beginner and half the intermediate levels and if you want more celeste this is amazing

it is fucking hard as shit though and has some eh levels/design choices but as a modpack for celeste, you cant get much better imo whether you're a speedrunner or a casual player

In a 2021 reddit AMA, Maddy Thorson confirmed that the strawberries present in Celeste are GMO-free, and I think that's pretty cool I like strawberries c:

Beat the Beginner and Intermediate lobbies. I tried some of the Advanced levels, but those started getting to be a bit crazier than I was willing to attempt.

Anyways, amazing mod. Tons of great levels with really neat concepts. Plus, the visuals and music throughout the whole game is phenomenal. So many of the levels are just, entire audiovisual experiences and it's incredible. All that being said, this mod is really really hard. Even the "beginner" lobby has some levels I would say are definitely not beginner friendly.

But yeah, really good mod overall. If you played the main game and are looking for great modded content, definitely check this one out.
