My first time playing a point-and-click survival horror game so this felt kinda jarring but for the most part, I enjoyed what this game was trying to do.

The story was solid and served its purpose well enough without being overly complicated. The atmosphere was incredibly dense and Scissorman was a good antagonistic force and was surprisingly handled so well in terms of being the first (I believe?) stalker enemy in horror games.

Exploration was a huge criticism for me because while I felt frustrated with the same-y designs for every hallway I was also impressed with how well the randomly generated content was handled.

Good game but ultimately my overall experience with the game was pretty poor because the exploration and puzzle progression felt so weak that I just couldn't look past it.

It's a cool game, but if you're going to play, please play with a guide.

Played time: 2hrs

cool concept with a good atmosphere but its just full of too much garbage nonsensical point n click garbage and the game just becomes running around these 30 halls that all look the damn same until you eventually forget about scissorman entirely and realize he's far more scripted than you previously believed
its solid when its actually a survival horror game where you survive the scissorman and are able to advance the story and explore the mansion, its garbage the rest of the time

Fun enough little point-and-click that's decently intuitive. Thank god my emulator has fast-forwarding.

A great start to this often overlooked but much loved horror game series.

You are Jennifer, adopted with her friends by a wealthy recluse called Simon. Jennifer's friends go missing so it's up to you to solve the mystery.

The game lacks background music apart from a music score when a major event or scare is happening, the only sounds you'll hear are Jennifers lonely footsteps and other ambient sounds which make this game very atmospheric.

Danger can lurk from everywhere as you are on the edge of your seat wondering when the main villain "Scissorman" will make an appearance, but he is not the only danger lurking from behind the door as Jennifer will encounter other truly horrific beings.

This is a point and click style game so if this isn't your style I would say skip it, but at least give it a chance as you get used to the format very quickly.

The plot of the game is very engaging, the graphics are somewhat simple with a few jumpscares here and there.

There are many different endings you can get, so there is a bit of replay value here too.

This was my first time playing a Clock Tower game, and I enjoyed it, I look forward to playing the rest of the series.
