Croc for the Game Boy Color is a valiant attempt to translate the charming 3D platformer to a handheld format, but it suffers in the transition. The graphics are decent for the system, and the core idea of rescuing adorable Gobbos still holds some appeal. However, unresponsive controls and frustrating level design mar the experience. While Croc might offer a short burst of nostalgic fun for fans of the original, be prepared for a bumpy ride.
Just an awful awful game in what is supposed to be a fantastic franchise. Everything about this game is bad. Whether it be the awful controls, the horrible hit detection, the almost coinflip style of deciding if the enemy harms the player, or the player harms the enemy, the extremely long level design, the needless "bonus" mode that is required to '100 percent' the game. The password system that is long and annoying and the animations just are weak.
Literally there's nothing I could or would recommend about this game.
