This DLC is the most overhyped DLC ever. Only good parts of it is the Sister Friede fight and Sir Vilhelm in generall.

Ashes of Ariandel has these nasty ass house fly enemies that trigger my pteronarcophobia like nothing else. Absolutely disgusting. Why Miyazaki?!?

So the level design was passable. There were these high damage bird warriors that were a real pain in the ass as well as some interesting bird creatures that were suffering a painful corruption. They really went all out with evoking my fear of house flies though. There's this disgusting sewer-esque area that is filled to the brim with the aforementioned fly creatures and they swarm you and spit parasites into you causing you to bleed continuously.

There's also this optional area where you have to carefully descend to the bottom of the map, while annoying warriors shoot high impact arrows at you and after trying and suffering a lot of times, I just decided to shoot the warriors. This caused one of them to glitch out and pull out his huge melee weapon, thus disabling his contribution to my suffering. And at the bottom was nothing but a mediocre optional boss.

Finally, there's Sister Friede and I can't really say I'm in love with my boss fight. Stylistically, it lacks the subtle coolness of the greats of From Software's best. The cutscenes with Father Ariandel are corny because he sounds so whiny and he just flails around which stuck in his chair in a way that doesn't intrigue me. Less is more, it's quite a surprise to see that the Old Hunters did so well in the cool factor, when From Software's next DLC would be one of the lamest.

Along with that, I honestly didn't like the fact that it was a three phase boss fight that had you cutting down three HP bars. I prefer the old way of doing things where you would just have a giant HP bar and the phase would transition throughout the fight like in Bloodborne, but that's just me.

I feel that Friede's boss design is reminiscent of what came later with Elden Ring in a bad way. So much AOE and the need to dodge extra stuff that makes things feel way too hectic for its own good. Maybe I'll come around to this style someday, but for now, I'd much rather stick with the older FromSoft titles.

the painting lady was hot mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

sister friede took me more time than all the rest of the dlc

Honestly super short, wish it had more bosses. But Sister Friede is one of the greatest fromsoft fight ever made. For me not super difficult but totally understand why some would have a hard time with the fight especially with the fact it has 3 health bars, but the fight is super fair, I guess second phase is the annoying but once you learn Sister Friede mainly just does the ice move if you keep distance and also priotize Father, but if she goes and tries to heal than punish her.

Short DLC that I enjoyed. The final phase of the last boss was unexpected, but still easily bested.

The only thing good about this was the sister friede fight. If I had bought this on its own I would have been disappointed.

Not as exciting as most souls DLCs but the final boss is without question one of the best in the series.

Sister Friede will peg you if you arent ready

aun tengo el ano dilatado por la pelea contra sister friede

This was a fun DLC but it was just too short. I expected alot more from this as the base game is amazing but this was just not it. There where only two bosses and it took me about 4 hours to defeat both of them. The world is a cool idea but ends up lacking as its barely got anything to do in it other than progress the campaign

Ariandel is a fine area but Sister Friede is the only reason anyone would ever consider playing this DLC. Without her it would probably be the weakest DLC from has made, and the fact it is the same price as Ringed City (despite the fact you should play both) is baffling

Worst DLC Fromsoft has created and it is not even close.

Friede is a broken boss having 20+ flaws with unfun phases except the 3rd phase has something going on.

Gravetender is interesting and i like the fight but for most people it is worse than Friede something i don't agree with but that is pretty much it for the DLC. 2 bosses, one boss being rushed, broken, unfun and the other one being not enjoyable for 95% of the playerbase.

Sister Friede salvou a DLC

One of the worst dlcs I've ever played but friede kinda makes up for it. Great boss.

This was my first FromSoft DLC, and honestly I was a bit disappointed. It certainly wasn't bad, but it felt very short. You can't be charging $15 for only two bosses, even if one of them is one of FromSoft's best. It's a minor complaint, especially since I bought the season pass on sale, but it left me feeling disappointed. Sorry!

Pretty short, and outside the village the level is kinda boring and bad. There also only two boss fights included, one being peakity peak peak, the other being ds2 level but worse.

While it may be short, Ashes of Ariandel offers a fun and interesting area for those wanting more to DS3. Reminiscent of the painted world in the first Dark Souls, this area feels like a revamped and more fleshed out version of that. The enemies are harder, route is quite similar, and the boss is an absolute treat. Maybe not worth the price at launch but this DLC is a great time and is pretty fair

a unica coisa boa dessa desgraça eh a batalha contra a friede

the sister friede + dad fight does most of the work here, though i did like to see a few more additions to miyazaki’s collection of fucked up birds

Area hermosa con un lore increible, Sister Friede un puto pedazo de jefe, pero... el area se siente bastante corta y deja bastante que desear en un aspecto desafiante, los enemigos no son la gran cosa y no hay mucho que explorar.

Very bland but not offensive. Sister Friede is the nightmarish hellspawn demon-worshipping ancient witch of the lake of sulfur come to ravage the souls of the innocent and eat your bloody bones

Dlc meio merda mas a friede é espetacular
