Dawn of Man hooked me with its prehistoric setting – guiding your tribe from the Stone Age to the Iron Age is surprisingly tense! Finding food, surviving harsh winters, and fending off raiders all offer a good challenge. That said, it gets a bit repetitive later on, and managing a huge village can be clunky. If you like survival/city-builders and are into history, this one's definitely worth trying.
