This is definitely the oldest DROD, and it shows... but in such a very delightful way. So many of these puzzles are simple on the surface compared to later entries, yet can still be such a brain scrambler. Also, the music in Architect's Edition is such a delight... though, we'd just suggest playing the 2.0 version of KDD nowadays, even if it DOES mean losing the music, unfortunately.
That being said, if you're interested in DROD but are too afraid to pay for GatEB, this is definitely the second best starting point--KDD 1.0 over on Architect's Edition is freeware! You can go download AE RIGHT NOW! If you're a fan of strategy puzzlers, what're you waiting for?!
