This was free on PlayStation a few months back and I figured my toddler would think the tractors were cool. Now about 4 times per week he’ll bring me my PS5 controller, look at me with those big eyes full of love and say “Daddy, tractor?” Then the next 15 minutes will be me playing one of the shittiest games ever made while he yells “BIG TRACTOR!” At the TV. The one star is for the pure joy it brings to him tho 🙂
Too realistic! (BORING)!! I guess farming nerds might like this?
I got this for free on epic games a few years back, and I really tried to have fun with it. Sadly, that is almost impossible, even with a friend. Driving feels terrible. There isn't even a way to mess around and be mischievous besides using the terrain tool, which instantly bankrupted us and ruined that whole playthrough. The actual intended game is extremely tedious and grindy, and on top of that the game doesn't seem to give you any direction and feels very restrictive.
Also, I'm curious, why is there a need for new one every 2 years? Are there really tons of revolutionary new changes to farming biyearly??

It ain't much, but it's honest work
I played, at the time of writing this review, around 30 minutes? Just to get an idea of how the game runs, all the different things to do and honestly? I liked it. It's mindless fun that I did enjoy, however I haven't played enough to give it a rating or play it for a longer period of time.
But yeah, good fun still I like to check out as many games as I can, and as I'm fairly new to Xbox Game Pass why not!

Farming Simulator 19 is a game that loves you.
It's a game that wants you to have a wonderful time. It's a game that puts so much effort and care into simply being LOVELY. It's a game that just does so many things right and so few things wrong. It's a game I've been playing for 140 hours and I've yet to see a single bug. It's a game that, despite minimal tutorials and a somewhat steep learning curve, is an anxiety-free and soothing holiday in the country. It's a game that somehow creates joy out of power washing your tractors or harvesting soybeans. It's a game that gives you a dog who bounces out of his wee house to welcome you whenever you come home. It's a game that has no loading times after the initial one. It's a game that looks great and has fab radio stations to listen to while you work. It's a game that lets you set the in-game clock to real time so you don't get stressed by the hours quickly racing by.
It's a game that some of you probably won't like but Farming Simulator 19 won't mind. It's a game that likes you. It's a game that loves you. Play it.
