I beat fate Extella link which is a sequel to that other fate game I played recently - fate extella the Umbral star but apart from the story and music - the combat was so fluid, map progression was not a slog at all, 26 playable characters all of them fun - Artoria my beloved cut through enemies like butter she was insane. Yeah I give that a 8/10

I'm not the biggest fan of Dynasty Warrior Type games, but Charlie was an amazing add to the cast of the Fate/ universe I cant mark it down. The multiple story endings to the variety of servants and costumes lead this to be a delightful romp over all.

ilk oyunun üstüne ve animenin herhangi bir serisini rewatchlamadan sarmadı bir ara geri dönecem

Only Fate game I managed to beat just for Charlie only. It's a fun (non Koei Tecmo) musou still, pacing is sometimes heavy like any Fate related content, but it was still nice.

Em termos de hack and slash aperta botao e mata todos, eh medio dmss, muitas vezes da pra entender nada que ta acontecendo kkkkk Diverte se vc gosta do estilo, que eh o meu caso. Da de jogar

>looking for a new game
>ask the developer if their game is dynasty warriors
>they don't understand
>pull out illustrated diagram explaining what is and isn't dynasty warriors
>they laugh and say “it’s a good game sir”
>buy game
>its dynasty warriors

Um musou dos piores que já joguei

Mosou games continue to never be good.

4 stars for chuck alone. oh my god, what a good fucking servant. dude this guy is the best, he just rules. slight improvement on the formula from before, no real complaints. chuck is the showstealer tho for sure

This game came out in 2016. Somehow, it is more faithful to the idea of the PS2 musous than all of its contemporaries.

I'm not gonna comment on the story or character, because Fate is still new to me and it'd be unfair. The cast are utilized really well in a basic narrative sense, and I like their personalities, but that's it.

No, what I'm gonna focus on is the gameplay.

On the surface, it really resembles musous from the last 4 years. It has breakneck pacing, 4 on-demand super skills, huge crowds of enemies and no clones but a smaller roster. Where it diverges, however, is in how all of this is utilized.

Have you ever done an open-book exam before? Most people unfamiliar with them assume that they'll be easy. How could they not be? You have all your notes and information!
Well, open book exams are supremely difficult. The 'mercy' you get from having all of your notes is all but required, as you're expected to know everything and the minimum pass mark tends to be extremely high. The only open book assessment I've ever sat demanded 90% correct answers for a C pass.

Fate/Extella Link is much the same. Yes, you are supremely powerful and fast. The game leverages this by bombarding you with tight objectives and competent enemy AI. Much like in the PS2 games, dallying around will result in objectives failing and the AI officers just trouncing your bases. It feels more like a sped up version of DW4 Empires with modern accruements than it does a 2016 musou spinoff.

But it's all the better for it, since it allows Marvelous to make their game stand out. Really, I wish I had more to say? The game doesn't last very long, having no desire to bog you down in an endlessly tedious postgame and the story isn't very long even if you're gorging yourself on companion events.

It's just good quick, clean fun.

Gameplay is fun but story mid and brain dead to Finish

I think I've had enough of Extra games which is good because this the last game in this franchise, at least until the new Fate Extra game comes out whenever that may be
This was actually surprisingly fun specially because I didn't enjoy the first game at all and I don't really like musou games, but I actually never really got tired of this game I even spent some time grinding to make Astolfo beat the shit out of the final boss

I turned to fantasy. You stayed in reality.

ahhh second worst game i've ever played

if you like fate and breaking things that's good because theres nothing else lol

the only good part of this game was charlie and all of the girls.

this would get 5 stars if they didn't make tamamo absolutely ass to play

I'm a huge musou fan but this game never fulfilled me. After i completed every story stage i had no reason or will to do the extra stages. Its a good game but something is missing out for me, gameplay didn't feel great in the long term.

Worst thing about this game is having no video showing what every active skill does, text alone doesn't do it.

I rarely enjoy musou games but i liked this one for the 2 days i played it

With this being an other Marvelous game under my belt, I actually expected the combat to be more like Senran Kagura's where servants would fight one on one in closed off spaces and have cool looking combos with little sections between those one on one fights. What we got instead was a musou, a very bland musou at that. Having played, and really liked, the Fire Emblem and One Piece musous, I would have thought that I would have really liked this one too. The main problem with this game is that it is WAY too easy, even on hard difficulty. This is the definition of a button masher, and if you are not in the mood for one of those then I would stay far from this game. Stuff that this game did well though was the interactions between servants, with the main base, barracks and "my room" being great ways to see character interactions between the main character and other servants. Dialogue and music in the stages is sort of drowned out in the actual gameplay parts due to all of the weapon clashing and explosions going off during combat. But I would be lying if I didn't have a good time playing this game, maybe it was because I was in the right mood or that I finally got a chance to play a game with Nero in it that wasn't FGO. Either way, if you are interested in this game then give it a shot, if not then I would try some other musous as I'm sure they will deliver way better gameplay than this.

Funny, great customization, I loved it.
