If only devs would have add a new secret ending. I was hoping for that

I FUCKING LOVE FINAL FANTASY 16 DUDE WHAT A FUCKING MASTERPIECE

With both parts of the dlc out, it’s a good time to give a verdict. The first part of the dlc is incredibly shaky. If you just wanted a challenge gauntlet, here it is. Nothing to note in the story, just a little bit of new equipment, and nothing more. The Rising Tide was always the selling point here. And even that was just okay. The story is incredibly short and does not do anything of note other than giving an excuse to give Clive the powers of Leviathan. Leviathan plays at range so you can do full encounters without engaging up close which is a fun gimmick but loses it’s edge fairly quickly. The Eikon fight holds it’s weight alongside those from the main game which is probably the best part of this extra content (although it doesn’t reach as high as Bahamut or Titan Lost). If you enjoyed the gameplay for FFXVI, you’ll enjoy this for the combat, but don’t go in expecting any huge story revelations or really anything to remember.
