crazy how this game made my virginity come back

the best virtua cop game in years

I mean it controls fine for an on-rails shooter, I just think the idea of shooting underaged girls until they orgasm just kinda fucked.

The Dark Souls of First Person Shooters

"Uhhh, single's life is great, Roxy. I can play whatever I want... Today I money-matched Melty Blood in the bathroom!"

"The one down the hall."

"Yeah! Another great thing, you get your own light gun game. Uhhh, I shoot at Wild Dog, do you?"

"I play PlayStation Vita games in bed with my wife."

"...Oh. Yeah..."

just fully indoctrinated myself into being a gal gun fan god save my soul

Best single player rail shooter since HoTD 4.

Well it's pretty much a worse Double Peace but it's a remaster of the original so that's to be expected. The main girls have cute designs but the ones I played have their stories entirely centered around contrived misunderstandings which is pretty annoying. Aside from that, the charm of gal gun's pure-hearted desire to mix rail shooting with making anime girls hot and bothered is still present. Also the main girls were undermined by the fascination I suddenly acquired for the side girl Riko Kuroda who hardly shows up in the game. The music was pretty nice but the visuals were pretty lacking. I'll miss you Riko.

Very fun classic rail shooter, with a sweet and pleasant aesthetic. While GalGun: Double Peace definitely improves on this games formula, when you see where the series started it's surprising how good it already was. The biggest standouts for me by far are the girls, I found every girl compelling and their dialogue was very cute. Although it takes maybe just an hour or two to clear a route, you really get attached to the characters! The endings are very sweet and cheesy but uplifting. One thing I've heard a lot of people bitch about with this game is the music, personally I think this has the best soundtrack of ANY GalGun to date. The redone opening theme is absolutely perfect, and the ending songs are really catchy too! Aside from the main campaign, each route's True Ending unlocks their campaign in Doki-Doki Carnival. Doki-Doki Carnival is a second campaign that takes place after the initial game and features Ekoro! I loved the setup and story for this, as well as getting to learn some of the NPC girls better. However, the Doki-Doki mode in Returns is probably my only complaint. Doki-Doki takes a much longer time to finish than the Doki-Doki mode in Double Peace. All in all a very cute, aesthetically consistent, classic rail shooter. You know exactly what you're getting and you'll know if this is for you or not.

Fun ecchi themed railshooter all about precisely oneshotting girls in their individual weakpoints quickly, which rewards intuitive recognition of each girl over time. Not incredibly high skill as far as arcade style games go but more than engaging enough to sustain a few playthroughs to attain as many of the endings as you want. Dating sim/VN elements are light but entertaining. Mini games are decent and contain amusingly novel situations to break up the action.

Doki Doki mode, which effectively functions as the bomb mechanic of the game kind of blows in this entry, as the minigame involved is far too simple to justify the fact that it holds up the game for literal minutes every time it is engaged. But it's also less score efficient than simply scoring ecstasy shots, so it can and should be largely ignored.

Kaname was by far my favorite route, I liked her enough to get all three endings, her voice makes my dick hard as rock. good girl.

Port is fine except for artifacts of the game being designed with 30fps in mind: minigames and boss fights are locked at 30fps and controller aim speed is tied to framerate, but at least you can compensate for it by adjusting the in game analog sensitivity option, or just use mouse.
