This is probably at least a little neater with ROB, but I don't have ROB, so this is honestly just depressing

An okay puzzle game with a cool novelty. Of course, you could just cheat by not using R.O.B.

This game gets more points than the other R.O.B. game by virtue of the fact that it's not a paperweight without R.O.B. or his accessories.
It's an okay puzzle game. A bit boring to start, but I was surprised enough by the later levels actually requiring me to think.

You play it with rob and it becomes miserable to play. You play it with two controllers and its way to easy. A game where there is no balance whatsoever. A game thats a novelty at best.

Charming title, but it doesn't cope well with the lack of buttons on an NES controller and therefore tries to show off the R.O.B. technology. A bit repetitive and a B-mode with limited interest. The multiplayer mode seems superficial, as the second player has little to do.

A great little puzzle game from the early NES era. This game features two game modes. Game A involves having to collect all the dynamite before time runs out, and game B involves guiding the professor to the end of each level while he's sleepwalking. The use of the different colored pillars gives this game its puzzle element, and it can pretty tricky to determine which ones to lower and which ones to raise. There are also bird like enemies throughout each level that can only be distracted with radishes, for some reason. It's definitely a strange game, but that's what gives it character. Hirokazu Tanaka also provides some catchy tunes for the game, much like his compositions for Balloon Fight and Wrecking Crew. While game mode B relies on trial and error and is ultimately disappointing, game mode A still provides a great puzzle game experience.

This feels like a spiritual successor of sorts to Donkey Kong Jr. with the climbing animations. Overall a solid platformer.

Playing this game using ROB is really slow, but it has its charm. Once the charm wears off, play it with a friend with the second controller. Any game where you can crush your friend to death is a game worth playing.

if it wasnt intended to be played with a peripheral it would just be an Okay puzzle strategy game

INTENSE MECHANICAL WHIRRING

A decent little old NES platformer-puzzle game. Nothing spectacular about it, playing it solo is a bit weird since you need to hold two controllers at the same time. No stages really made me think too hard about what to do, and it’s super short. A good time waster one time through, but I was feeling done with it by the end.

Actually a pretty fun puzzle game for two players, I just wouldn’t recommend playing Gyromite with R.O.B. He’s a little slow to open doors.

Really stretching the definition of a "puzzle" game with how little strategy is involved in getting through the levels, but I admire the bizarre gimmick of the Robotic Operating Buddy.

A game designed to be used with R.O.B. You control a helpless guy who can't even jump, and use the R.O.B. accessory to grab tops and place them in order to raise and lower red and blue beams in the levels. Of course, you can cheat and manually press the buttons on the controller to do that. R.O.B. in certain levels can be slow and tedious to use, but it's a neat little piece of tech.
