I got into the Hunie Pop series initially because I thought it would be really funny to say I played this game. It wasn't, and people just think you're weird. But, I actually ended up liking the game because of the match three puzzles and honestly I do think the 18+ content in that game is the worst part because that's how fun and addicting the puzzles were.
I can say with confidence that Hunie Pop 2: Double Date is better than the original game. I was so addicted to the puzzles in the first game that I really wanted to play the second game. And I did. And I enjoyed everything about the puzzles. The game has less of the 18+ content compared to the original in my experience, which is nice, but not enough to save this game from only getting 3.5/5. Boo hoo, it is still an above average game, if not a good one.

On one hand: better gameplay than the first game, an excuse plot so unapologetically stupid that it's hilarious, some great new additions to the cast, no Momo.
On the other hand: worse art style (imo), some weird pairings/dynamics, some not so great additions to the cast, you cannot bang Kyu.
On both hands: Porn. Lots of it. Pretty good too.
I bought this game on release day. I regret nothing.
Score: 8

I honestly really like the first game, I think it's one of the few porn games that are actually interesting and I genuinely like most of the girls.
Unfortunately the charm is gone for me. The vast majority of the new girls are not really well-written, or not interesting, or their gimmick is just sad (Candace ...). The sex happens way faster than in the first game (I mean sure, it's a sex game) + you can only double date, so you feel less close to the girls. New artstyle is good imo, UI is nice although the shop is a little complicated to navigate through.
The big strength of the game is the gameplay, having way more depth in this sequel, specifically the "baggage" mechanic that actually ties together characters and gameplay !

More of the same but now you have 2 girls instead of one. This has some returning girls from the first game and a slew of new ones. Sadly i think the roster is better in 1 with this game having some of the worst girls of the series. Ashley steps the game up a tier though. Slightly better story then the first, but overall still a fantastic game.
A major downgrade from the first game. They added too many gameplay elements to the puzzle section, making it feel confusing and the board feel cluttered. Dialogue options are now stupid, trite questions rather than real facts about the girls, and getting all of these questions is difficult because sometime when you speak to a girl, it will give you entirely repeat questions, which the first game did not do. The outfits are no longer focused on being cute, stylish, and character defining for the girls, but simply for being as revealing as possible. The new girls are a lot less likable overall.
It's also probably one of the most racist games I have ever played, which is what really brought it down for me.
Two stars because there are a few saving graces, but unless you're really interested in Jessie's character or something, it's really not worth it.

It's HuniePop 1 but with more frustrating gameplay, weaker writing, weaker characters, weaker art. Some of the charisma is still there, but it's not holding it all together anymore. Maybe this one was better off without a sequel, although I respect this one for trying.
Except the handling of Polly, that was a real fucking stupid mess and the final result is a joke that satisfies no one, and probably could have been handled way better
