From the people that brought you the Final Fantasy series, we have another JRPG on the console, and it's a fairly unheralded one at that. IU puts you in the shoes of Capell, working with a group of heroes tasked with destroying the chains attaching the moon to the earth. It's a bit of a weird story and very JRPG, but it lends itself to some nice visuals and cutscenes. The gameplay is one of the more unique elements of the game. If plays like a simple but quite decent hack and slash game, where you control Capell and can offer orders to the AI controlled party members. It's not the most complex combat, but works fine and I didn't get that bored with it. The game starts pretty slow, but the difficulty ramps up and the enemy variety and bosses keep the gameplay fairly interesting. The adventuring itself isn't particularly detailed. It is a small game so there aren't any huge maps or sprawling sub-quests. You follow a linear route to achieve your goals and that is totally fine. We don't all have 100 hours to stick into an RPG, particularly not one which doesn't really shine in any way. For my criticisms of the game, I don't really have a whole lot, but at the same time there not much that I loved about the game. The menu is a bit frustrating as you can't pause the game and I didn't enjoy messing around with items and equipment, but it wasn't any worse than any other RPG. With that in mind, it's a fine game, but only really worth it for huge JRPG fans. I also don't hate the name as much as everyone else.

i mean i beat it so it must've been alright

A game with a name meaning "forever finding nothing" which describes how much enjoyment I managed to find playing it.

I figured that this game might of been a JRPG hidden gem that was stuck on Xbox, sadly that was wrong. This game is painfully mediocre at best. Awkward voice acting, dated facial animations, annoying real teal time menu and combat can feel a bit clunky at times as well. The story while has an interesting premise it is bogged down by poor writing making it not enjoyable as it could be.

I wouldn't say I hated playing it, it doesn't do anything outright bad however the game also doesn't do anything great to stand out among JRPGs. It's quite unfortunate really but to me this game feels it just exists so Microsoft can say that Xbox has JRPGs. Maybe a game like this is why the Xbox player base don't care for JRPGs much. Overall I'd say my experience with the game ranged from 4 to a 6 out of 10 but overall I'd say it's more of a 4. I wouldn't consider my time with game all that enjoyable. But at least it was short...only took like 20ish hours to finish it. If your a Xbox fan or new to Xbox starved for JRPGs I'd just say give this game a pass or buy it on a sale if your really curious.

It's nothing amazing but it's entertaining. Better than the trash heap known as Lost Odyssey. Helps that it's short though.

They did it, they finally made the dumbest fucking title imaginable for a game. Congratulations Square Enix, you guys really outdid yourselves with this one! And that's saying something, considering you have shit like Final Fantasy [insert number here]-2, Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days, Bravely Default and Octopath Traveler in your catalog.

Сложно сказать что то конкретное об игре, ибо играл очень мало. Боевая система показалась неплохой, сюжет интригует. Пока отложил из-за других более интересных игр

Cool rare Xbox jrpg exclusive. Felt like a smaller ff12
