Somehow the weakest Picross game I’ve played. Something about the large majority of the puzzles being similar anime girl faces gives the puzzles a distinctly samey feel that really drills home the dull nature of Picross. I fucking love Picross so that’s definitely something that strikes me as irksome. That alongside baby music and character art that really just feels weak and you have an underwhelming package that does the Picross name an injustice.

i love my strong animal wife's but 100%ing it gives you NOTHING no FUNNY PICTURE or SECRET TREAT so I fucking SMASH my TELEVISION

Gatcha game with hundreds of cool character designs + picross is a winning combination.

Still Picross, but the puzzles got a little samey.

The first of these Picross games that have been releasing for the Switch that I've played. I sort of wasn't ready for how much this is "just more picross". I mean, picross is already great so you don't need to add much but I wish there was something a little more "Kemono Friends" to this game outside of the puzzles and menus. Like I said though, you can't go wrong with Picross (unless you add dumbass microtransaction mechanics like Pokemon Picross did, truly hope they never try anything like that again).

A breakthrough in picross video-game technology, the (pic)crossover of nonary puzzle and anime you've all been waiting for.

The picross itself is still as good as the previous S series games but the addition of Clip Picross changes the game. Suddenly now you have both a progression incentive through the main game mode AND a way to tackle unconventionally sized picross boards that help break the player away from the difficulty curve of the main mode. Also completing all the clip puzzles in a section create a larger picture, which is neat.

Whilst Picross S2 had these features first, Kemono Friends Picross beats it in pure objective video-game betterment by having a Kemono Friends skin over it, which Picross S2 does not.

It's picross but you make cute girls instead of household objects. I wish there was a different set of images for the mega picross puzzles, though.

My first foray into Picross and I had a very fun time. The puzzles are addicting and satisfying in a similar way to sudoku and the kemono friends coat of paint is pretty cute. I only ended up paying like 3 bucks for it thanks to a small sale and some nintendo coins so getting like 200+ puzzles out of it was pretty great even if I didn't touch mega picross since it wasn't really my cup of tea. Once you grasp the rules and strategies they give you in the tutorials, anything less than 15x15 puzzles becomes pretty easy but it's still fun to fill them in quickly even if it's not hard at all. I do think the ones that are 15x20 and 20x20 can go on a little too long though. The kemono friends aspect of the game was kind of weak since the only pictures with effort put into them were the clip picross ones and there weren't any voice lines either. Only having one track for the puzzle solving sections was kinda weak too even if I always had background videos to listen to anyways.
