really impressive from an indie company the cuts to ACTUAL settings were so eerie and it almost pulled up my address and took a pic of me rlly flippijjng good
Love this kind of pseudo-horror hidden in quirky-old thing trope. A game that messes with your understanding of how it works as much as it "messes" with (not literally) your computer itself, and uniquely a game played on your desktop. While some functions were not quite working as I turned off most of Microsoft's crappy programs that it tries to use to say like get your webcam and get your real irl location, it still in itself is a bit of a fun run. It didn't overstay and through enough at me to keep me engaged. Pretty good overall.

for what it set out to do i think this game is essentially perfect. I loved all the things it did to mess with my computer the entire game just felt like a playable analog horror video it was so cool...
only thing i will say is that the endings kind of suck and I left feeling not a whole lot after doing them all. It left kind of a sour feeling despite the entire game up to that point being fantastic, but it does anything but take away from the positives. Great little experience i think

One of the most technically impressive games of this genre. It’s very much so Doki Doki Literature Club but with Bonzi Buddy but the amount of overreach the software has with its control over your computer is kind of crazy. Not very scary because Kinito is far too adorable but the vibes really hit hard. Pretty cool web based game. Would love to see what else this developer can do!

Congrats on being the first game to make me genuinely question whether or not it's malware.
It does almost nothing new but it's so lovable, and does a lotta cool stuff. Not really scary minus a couple loud bits, I just love the meta computer stuff it was doing the most. A good bundle of fun worth supporting

Is it a scary horror game? No but most modern horror games aren’t. Is it really really cool? Absolutely. I think too many people are viewing this as a game that’s trying really hard to be scary and failing when in reality I think it’s just trying to be a cool project. Some of the stuff it did I’m still not sure HOW it did and that’s really cool. It’s a really great time but don’t expect to be screaming in your room over it.

its a bit of a shame i didn't fully experienced this as it should be since i first watched it from a streamer. i kept playing but still it did not hit the same bc of this same reason. but that's my fault haha.
What really did hit me though is the final track in the ost, Bliss. i guess its making reference to the windows XP default wallpaper that goes by the same name. It's funny, because the track makes me feel so... melancholic. The fact the title is referencing the early internet era while sounding so sad yet comforting... and at the same time you are the one deleting kinito... it feels like saying goodbye to this period of time when i was little... like leaving my childhood behind.
idk why im getting all emotional over one track about a virtual assistant axolotl. maybe it's bc i did not have many friends back then and i was pretty attached with all my virtual pets and video games. all these memories are so blurry yet i hold to them dearly. I miss my windows xp PC that my family had. it was fun even if i was only like 5yo. Maybe kinito represents all that... for me at least.

it's really underwhelming. doesn't really do anything that i haven't seen before and just feels like a cookie cutter game. at the end i just felt rly underwhelmed and like i wasted time. its just a bunch of meaningless "arg" "horror" stuff with practically no gameplay
the game told me "this is going to be very fun" and then my background changed to diddy kong in an elevator
