KinitoPET belongs to a subgenre of indie horror that I'm not all that familiar with and those are games that mimic the appearance of your desktop.
In KinitoPET, you find yourself being forced into downloading a mysterious companion program onto your computer named KinitoPET, who appears as a round axolotl head with white gloved hands and lanky legs. Kinito speaks in a robotic text to speech voice, further emphasising that the beast your dealing with is cold and calculating.
Throughout the game, weird things happen on your PC, from watching a body being dragged on screen in a flash game, to faces appearing on second monitors (if you have one). One of the wildest things this game can do is actually pull up your real life home address as well as a few other personal details, so if you're a streamer, make sure to turn streamer mode on. If streamer mode is on, Kinito will simply type a message into your search bar letting you know how easily he could get your personal information. This is a moment that genuinely freaked me out while playing.
Another moment that freaked me out was the final segment of the flash game section where Kinito initiates the hide and seek minigame where all of a sudden, you go from the point and click desktop simulator to a first person horror game where you have to hide and stay away from some entity searching for you in some dark place.
As someone who was unfamiliar with these types of games beforehand, I can definitely say I wholeheartedly welcome them now and hope to see more in the future.

i really like this actually
it uses the familiar tropes, it's got a cute little dude, it abuses c# scripts to pull a couple of tricks that are pretty neat and did make me shift uncomfortably, a little bit
definitely recommend for a sucker of the genre, it wont be super novel but it'll be campy and cute and i do want to be his friend even though he doxxed me

Really really super good.
This has to be one of the best horror game's I've played in recent times. Its super fun and with the mechanic of it using your computer to the fullest is so awesome.
The soundtrack is really good, and I love the 2000s computer aesthetic.
Spoiler warning from here on out:
The fact it turns on your camera half way is actually crazy, freaked me out. Same with the "Where is my location" into your search-bar, that was actually freaky.
The part where kinitopet like comes into your bedroom is so creepy, especially with how disturbing he is. The hide and seek part was so scary. And the ending is so good. It feels like the portal endings which I love. The secret ending too is amazing. This game honestly is perfect besides the fact that its too short. I completed the game in 2 hours with the secret ending. Please do more with kinitopet it is peak!!.

Instead of a game, childish pampering with your PC. Instead of horror, formulaic techniques. The game surprised me only in one moment, when it took a couple of pictures of my streaming program and used it against me.
Вместо игры, детское баловство с твоим пк. Вместо хоррора, шаблонные приемы. Игра удивила только в одном моменте, когда она сфоткала пару раз мою программу для стриминга и использовала против меня
